JOBCODE_FULLSYNC does not populate JOBCODE_LANG in Finance

Hello everyone!

Here’s an issue I spent a considerable time debugging – the JOBCODE_FULLSYNC is used to push across JOBCODE data from HCM to Finance. The base table is JOBCODE_TBL whereas the related language table is JOBCODE_LANG.

For reference purposes, the following are the Application versions where this issue was occuring:

HCM 9.1 – PeopleTools 8.53 – Bundle #7 – Enterprise Component Bundle #1

FSCM 9.1 – PeopleTools 8.53 – Bundle #7 – Enterprise Component Bundle #1

Now, for the issue – when I ran the FULLSYNC after enabling Related languages to be published in the Languages tab of the Full data publish rules, data seemed to be published from the JOBCODE_TBL from HR to the one in Finance. But, the data from JOBCODE_LANG table does not seem to have been pushed across from HR to Finance.

Upon checking with Oracle Support, I was advised that we would have to apply Enterprise Component Bundles #1-#12 in the HR instance. But, since we had quite a number of customizations, we couldn’t apply all the Enterprise Component Bundles.

Finally, we zeroed in on the solution – Application Engine EOL_PUBLISH Section : PUBLANG2 Step 10 is inactivated in the earlier patches – make it active and you’re all set. Running the FullSync would populate the related language record as well.

Hope this helps! 🙂 Have fun! 🙂
